Course Abstract
Live Online Interactive Webinar • Case-Based • Sponsor-Free
Canine high-grade glioma has limited treatment options and shares features with the most common and deadliest brain cancer in people — glioblastoma — driving enthusiasm for studying novel treatments in pet dogs with hope of benefiting both species.
In a clinical trial investigating immunotherapy-based treatments for pet dogs with high-grade glioma, a concerning pattern emerged: French bulldogs had markedly worse survival than all other breeds, including closely related breeds. Board-certified neurologist (DACVIM — Neurology) Dr. Susan Arnold provides a summary of canine high-grade glioma, the methods used to investigate this survival disparity, and the results of the investigations. Listeners will also gain an understanding of translational research. Presented through Vet On It's sponsor-free platform — no pharmaceutical influence on content or recommendations.
